Quite A Special Show, This: The Show Was Recorded By The Mixing Desk, And Ended Up It Keyboard Player Rabbitt Bundrick's Personal Archive. I Received My Copy Sometime In The Mid-90’S From Dave Clayton Who Runs Fas (Free Appreciation Society, The Free Fan Club And Fanzine - Highly Recommened!) Who Asked Me Not To Trade It Any Further - Which I Did.

However, Copies Leaked Out Via Others So This Show Became Somewhat Ubiquitous, And - Of Frigging Course - The Inevitable Silver Boot Reared Its Ugly Head. Since The Show Had Made Its Rounds I Much Later Asked Dave If I Could Trade It Now, And He Gave Me The Green Light. Thanks, Mate. However, Still Have Only Traded It Once Or So, In All These 12-15 Years. So, This Here Is As Low A Generation Copy As It Could Get (Unless You Are Rabbit Bundrick, Haha!).

The Sound Guy Obviously Forgot To Flip The C 90 Cassette In His Mixing Desk Which Is Why The End Of "Everyday I Have The Blues" And Most Of "Seven Angels" Are Missing; Due To That I Added An Intact Version Of The Rarely Played Latter From Exactly A Month Later (The Bracknell Sports Center Show On October 14, 1972).

Since Free’S Reunion In February 1972, Koss Had Increasingly Become Quite A Prob, And On This Autumn Tour, Shows Were Either Completely Ruined Or Simply Impossible. This Show Here Is Pretty Early Into The Tour And Koss Was Still Ok And Had An “On” Night, Thankfully (Otherwise I Wouldn’T Have Upped This Show Here, Believe Me) – Seems He Really Pulled Himself Together On His 22Nd. Birthday. The Other Two Known Recorded Shows Are (Bracknell And Coatham) Are Both _Much_ Less Enjoyable. Sigh!

Free Did A Real Interesting Set On This Tour, With Not-Yet-Released Numbers (“Heartbreaker”, “Wishing Well”, “Seven Angels”), And Non-Free Numbers Such As The Magnificent “Lady”, And The Lovely Future Bad Co. Track “Like Water” That Stem From Paul Rodgers 1971 Solo Group Peace, Plus “I’M On The Run”, And The Completely Vanished “Unseen Love”.

Fwiw, This Is Simply Free’S Last Real Good Show.

Enjoy It As Much As I Have Done Since I Thankfully Received It.

Free Ahoy!
