OK, on we go to part 2 of my Lamb Trilogy

Genesis - The Lamb Laid Down an Early Way

Spring/Summer 1974 - Headley Grange

There is no new material here either, but here we have the Headley Grange rehearsal tapes for The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway edited into an early version of the album.

Those Pink Floyd fans who have "Under Construction - The Wall demos" or "Building the Wall" may understand the concept, but in this case, with so many chunks missing, I have had to re-imagine a few sections.

So maybe not one for the purists, but consider it a bit of fun, and a glimpse of how the Lamb sounded very early into it's composition.

I have used massive artistic licence here so please don't slap me as the Red Book said I could not fail.

Well it did actually, as it said I need an 80 minute disk to make a CD.

The tracks are

1 The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
2 Fly on a Windshield
3 Broadway Melody of 1974
4 In the Cage
5 Back in N.Y.C
6 Back in the Cage
7 Antechamber
8 The Chamber of 32 Doors
9 Counting Out Time
10 Undercount
11 Aftertime
12 Lillywhite Lilith
13 The Waiting Room
14 Here Comes the Supenatural Anaesthetist
15 Empty Sorrow
16 Early Arrival
17 The Colony of Slippermen
18 The Light Dies Down on Broadway
19 After the Light
20 In the Rapids
21 It

One or two real surprises, but I am painfully aware of the joins and sonic faults and editing faux pax, and unfortunately so will you be, but some moments are quite good.

Not one to listen on headphones, then, but any decent lo-fi should do the trick.
