I was fortunate to recently become friends with Manuel in Italy who had the master tape of this never-before-heard GG show. It had never been
digitized and never been traded, but he agreed to getting it digitized and letting me share it with other fans and collectors.

So thank you, Manuel!

At this time in 1972, founding member Phil Shulman was still in the band and young Malcolm Mortimore occupied the drum stool. They were on their
breakout European tour supporting Jethro Tull. This was their first swing through Italy, a country where they became massively popular.
At this gig in Treviso, they actually played in a facility usually used for the Italian sport of bocce. Unfortunately, they played an unusually
short set a mere half hour in length. And that includes four minutes of tuning at the beginning! The tape does appear to be complete, so the
reason for the shortened set is unknown. Maybe they started late and there were time restrictions in the venue? Maybe someone was ill? Normally,
the song Nothing At All would follow Plain Truth but here it did not.

The recording is MONO. It is the same on both the left and right channels.

Still, as a Giant completist, I am thrilled to have this new little gem. I will warn everyone that the sound quality is not great. It appears to
have been originally recorded way too loud and therefore the low end distorts quite a bit when the band is "rocking out". Quieter passages sound okay.
In other words, the "gentle" sounds nice but the "giant" - not so much. I'll include a couple mp3 samples so you can hear for yourself.

And in case anyone is wondering, yes, Manuel had the Jethro Tull set too. Yes, it's been digitized. Yes, he sent it to me. And yes, I will try to post that
one here soon.

So enjoy the show! And if anyone with mad audio skills wishes to play around with this and improve it, be my guest!
