at some point and, try as he might, the taper could not salvage that song. :-(

Total Time - 60 minutes 22 seconds
Sound quality - not too bad - a solid B

DEREK SHULMAN lead vocals, bass, saxophone
PHIL SHULMAN - lead vocals, saxophone, trumpet
RAY SHULMAN - bass, violin, percussion, trumpet
KERRY MINNEAR - keyboards, cello, vibes, percussion
GARY GREEN - guitars
JOHN WEATHERS - drums

unknown cassette recorded with Phillips K7 deck -->
digitized to wave files by the taper -->
those wave files sent to me -->
encoded by me to flac 8 with Trader's Little Helper -->

No other tinkering at all was done by me.

I hope I did this right (apologies in advance if anything is amiss....)
This is my very first torrent upload to dime or anywhere, but I had to give it a go.

Here we have a totally uncirculated concert recording from Gentle Giant, easily one of the
greatest progressive bands to ever walk this earth. Giant were HUGE in Italy and were
headlining this tour, supported by the band Area. This is the last known recording of the
6-man lineup. Within a week or so of this gig,Phil Shulman was gone. This is also on
of only two known live tapes to include Phil doing music from the OCTOPUS album. Here
he sings and plays trumpet on The Advent of Panurge, making the tune sound noticabl
different than on other boots.

Years ago, a gentleman in Italy told me he had attended and taped this show, but he was not
a trader or collector, so we lost touch with each other. Then, just recently, I heard
from him again and he agreed to send me the show. He went back to his original tape,
digitized the show onto his computer, and sent the files to me.

As a longtime GG fan and collector, I was thrilled, to say the least! I just received the
files a few days ago and knew I had to share this (he gave his consent, happily). I think
it's just a cool recording, all the way around!

One sad bit - the encore of Mister Class and Quality is missing. The original tape was
damaged at that point

So enjoy the show. And many, many thanks to Alessandro in Italy for taping and preserving
this thing in the first place!
