GENTLE GIANT
THE ARLINGTON THEATRE, SANTA BARBARA, CA
16 JULY 1976

***************************************************************************************

The main reason for me posting this show now is to advertise that
3 Friends (Gentle Giant) are playing at the Ropetackle Centre in Shoreham (near Brighton) on Thursday 10th September 2009.

Every fan should make an attempt to get there and support TBITB.

They are also playing several other dates in Canada, Japan and Germany.
Please check their website -> http://www.threefriends.info/ <- for details.

Please make every effort to go. You will NOT be disappointed.

Gentle Giant July 1976
----------------------------
Derek Shulman - Vocals, Bass, Recorder & Percussion
Ray Shulman - Bass, Acoustic Guitar, Recorder & Percussion
Kerry Minnear - Vocals, Keyboards, Recorder & Percussion
Gary Green - Vocals, Electric & Acoustic Guitar, Recorder & Percussion
John P. Weathers - Drums & Percussion

A few words from Derek:

“AND TONIGHT . . . let me introduce you to The Boys In The Band:
To my right, in kimono and sweaty hair, Gary Green – lead guitar;
In sailor suit, mucking around, bass & violin – Ray Shulman;
Smiling John P. Weathers on Drrrrrrrrrrrrrumms;
In suntan lotion, well-tanned & fit on keyboards, Kerry Minnear;
and of course you all know who I am - in Colorado, John Denver. Rocky Mountain High is our next song."

Notes:
Disc two sounds like an alternate source [different gen/un-tweaked] of the same show; Grade B- / C- / B. I received this CD-R set in a trade; this was a previously uncirculating show, to my knowledge. While the recording suffers from the usual audience conditions of the time, it is the document of a remarkable band at the peak of their powers.

Tape glitches at 1/1-4:55; 1/9-2:13 & 1/10-4:00;

Sudden fade-outs on 1/3, 1/4, 1/5 & 2/3;

Fade-ins on 1/5, 2/3, 2/4.

Sorry, I can't seed 24/7.
I will most likely be seeding between 12am and 12pm UK time, so as to avoid upsetting my ISP.
Don't panic I will ensure someone gets a complete seed.
