source: WWOZ-FM > Harmon Kardon HK3480 receiver > analog cables > Metric Halo MIO-2882 firewire interface > MacBook Pro (2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) > MIO Console 5.6.00.211 (record panel) > (44.1kHz split stereo files) > DSP-Quattro 4.4 (trimmed, normalized by 1.9 db, split into songs) > aiff/wav > X Audio Compression Toolkit 2.39 (level 8 compression, sector boundaries repaired, tags applied) > flac
Some editing done with Bias Peak Pro 6.2.0.21692: splices inserted into main recording. Other editing (EQ, normalization, trims, etc.) done with DSP-Quattro.
Editing notes:
The first 7:27 is from the recording of the original April 26 broadcast, which included an additional 3 minutes of music, compared to the May 3 (2nd Saturday) rebroadcast
The remainder of the recording is from the rebroadcast, except for splices, below, which are from April 26.
Additional editing:
* A 2.7-second splice from the original broadcast was inserted at 34 seconds into Track 5 to replace a broadcast glitch;
* A 14-second splice was used at 1:50 into Track 5 to replace a long (98-second) station id;
* A 1.8-second splice to repair a broadcast glitch was inserted at 59 seconds into Track 6;
* A 12.3-second splice was used at 7:15 into Track 6 to replace a long (44-second) station ID;
* A 5-second splice at 7:58, also in Track 6, replacec a broadcast glitch (just before beginning of Track 7); and
* A 21.5-second splice was used to replace a 34-second PSA/broadcast annoucement at 7:55 into Track 7.
A notch filter was applied using DSP-Quattro's Parametric EQ plugin at 3.6kHz and 7.2kHz, -10db, to reduce intrusive, high-pitched FM noise.
