A great, energetic show !! :-)))
Yet, it was marred by several annoying technical problems.
There was a terrible buzz coming out from the PA on many occasions.
It seems the guys behind the soundboard couldn't handle it.
Maybe they were pushing the PA levels too loud.
Anyway, after this happened once too much in "Maggot Brain", they were forced to turn the PA off completely!
Which they did during Mary Griffin's number, a cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy".
All you could hear was the sound coming from the amps on stage, Mary's singing was unlistenable.
The audience booed the sound guys abundantly, and they deserved it.
At that point, I too was infuriated to the extent I started dismounting my recording gear (i.e. I removed the mics from the hat-mount).
Then the sound seemed to be back alright, so eventually I let the recording go on.
I edited out "Crazy", which was performed right after "Maggot Brain", and lasted about 8 minutes.
All you could hear on the recording at that moment was me swearing and trying to unmount then re-mount the mics, among the very disgruntled, booing audience.
The show is shorter than on previous tours, around 2 hours.
