I hope I got the indexing right for this one. It's pretty hard to figure out where one song ends and the next begins, particularly because most of this band's material is more sketches of unfinished songs than proper songs. It seems they come up with a beat, then a hook, then they stop there where other bands would continue writing verses and bridges and middle 8s.

I guess it's clear that I don't understand the appeal of this group. I guess I don't understand how a band can make a 50 year career out of shouting a couple of words (or not even words - Night of the Thumpasorus Peoples contains these unforgettable words of wisdom: Gaga googa ga ga googa / Ga ga goo ga ga) over a backbeat without much musicality or structure to the "songs".

Warning: the mix at this show is terrible. You can barely hear the band or the female singers. Just a couple vocal mics which are cranked up 5 times the volume of everything else and one random instrument in each song (one it's the organ, one it's the guitar, one it's the horn, etc.). This seems to be standard for them, as I watched several YouTube videos trying to figure out the track starts and many of them show people playing and singing, but they are nearly inaudible.

Listen at your own discretion.
