George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic at The Palace, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

25th April 2011

Notes
Had to excise the first track, 'Prelude' straight off the record 'The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein', you miss nothing much, just the sound of the band getting on stage.
The recording quality is good, I was right at the front and there were a number of what looked like fold back speakers facing the audience (a permanent setup it seems). Well I was right in front of one, and it was very loud. I didn't think this would turn out to good, but was pleasantly surprised after allowing my ears to recover for a few days.
The vocals for the most part a very clear as are all the instruments.
This is the complete show, I have overlapped each disc with approximately one second fade so you miss nothing. There is, as you would expect some audience noise though this is generally not overwhelming.
There was an incident next to me where a young man was dragged over the barrier and taken away by security. Shortly after a security guy can be heard warning off his friend in no uncertain terms, this happened during 'I Bet You'.

I have included several mp3 files from various points in the show, including the incident mentioned, these will be in the comments.

I also took my camera, and was advised by security at the front door that I'd have to check it in. However there didn't seem to be anyone interested, so now we have a cover featuring shots from the show.
I had so many good photographs that I have made up a booklets for each disc - that is Disc 1 & 2 go into a double CD case and then 1 single for Disc 3. I have numbered the pages using the front and back booklet cover as 1&8 then 2&7 and so on. Assembly should be pretty straight forward 2&7 on the back of 1&8, don't forget to flip them so it doesn't end up upside down.

I was a the very front in the centre with the microphones on my lapels facing forwards.
