George Harrison

8 November 1974, afternoon show

Oakland Coliseum
Oakland, California

Source: 1974-11-08 (afternoon) Oakland (Green Grape)

The fifth show of George Harrison's 1974 ill-favoured North American Tour. The sound is on the murky and muffled side, but it seems to be almost the full show ("Anurag" cuts out at the end of Disc 1, and there is a cut in the applause before "Dark Horse", where the sound quality picks up noticeably - no doubt a new tape or tape flip).

Lineage: Audience recording > unknown fiddling about over the years > CD > CDR > trades > CDR > EAC > wav > Cool edit pro > wav > flac

I got this one as a TAO disc, so I've edited the gaps out. Also, there was a gap at 0:12 of "Outta space", which I've also edited out. The latter song was split into three parts, as it subsides and reprises amid the applause.

Show identifier - Track 1, 1:04: "Good evening Oakland!" - but it's pretty muffled (it does make one wonder if this is in fact the evening show, but let's not go there... The circulating evening show has no greeting from George, but he does make reference to it being "tonight").
