More fun and frivolity from them ever lovin' Georgia Satellites. Hot set as usual. Lots of snappy banter and sharp wit drenched in as much redneck as possible.
Tonights theme - roadblocks. It had been highly publicized that Catawba counties finest would be manning multiple roadblocks this evening to nab the over-indulgers and cretins with a tendency to motor about whether they possess a valid drivers license or not. Somehow the Sats caught wind and made it a running theme of the show.
This also marks the first (and only that I'm aware of, thank goodness) semi-song by Rick Richards' Two Live Crew sendup, Two Live Jews.
Also, Mr. B. Rick Price is loud and proud on this one. It seems in the Sats Rick played (willingly) the reddest of the necks and the whitest of the trash. I think it gets often gets lost in the shtick, but good God all mighty could Rick run up and down the neck of that bass. And he's my go to guy for a George Jones cover hands down. Y'all enjoy!
