Gerry And The Pacemakers - Regent Theatre, Palmerston North, New Zealand 29-March-2009
(recorder 1)
Hmmm, billing this as Gerry And The Pacemakers might be stretching things a bit - The Pacemakers were young enough to be his grandchildren- they were also the backing band for the opening act. It was a bit of a cluster-f*** at the start- guitar amp crapped out during the first song (which may or may not have been part of the show), cue bad jokes and his brilliant idea to have the friggen house lights turned on for the rest of the show- running 2 rigs with the lights on is soooo much fun. The guy sitting near me was really pissed off.
SP-CMC-8 (AT943) Hyper-Cardioids -> SP-SPSB-11 Battery Box -> Edirol R-09 (24/48) -> Soundforge (fades/raise levels) -> r8brain (downsampled to 16/44 on "very high" quality setting) -> CDWave (split) -> TLH (flac).
The levels rise during the last 2 songs, everyone stood up so it was either stay seated, look like a total dork & get muffled sound, or stand up - the volume seemed to be louder standing up in the balcony, so the levels took a hike.
