This is a show I recorded many years ago and found again recently when my partner bought me a new tape player as a yule present (so, thank you Tabi).

The quality is pretty good. I'd say B+ to A-, but my judgement could be clouded by the memories it brings. However, there is some distortion on the vocals in some places. But the quality of the music shines through.

Unfortunately, the distortion gets very bad during the first encore - the levels jump on the tape and there's nothing I know of to rectify it (I'm new here).

But it (the encore) is still worth a listen (in my opinion) if only for the astoundng bass playing by the sceretary of entertainment and a delicious solo by Kim Jordan (again, I confess bias - she was so beautiful in her playing and herself).

And there is a break in Angel Dust where I turned the tape over - sorry. And i have divided it into two cds - put the break in where you think it fits.

I have left it as it came out. All of Gil's intros are included as part of the track - you can shave them off if you want but I think that's part of his magic.

My apologies for the the blips and bumps in the recording. I learnt not to tape Gil after this - you can stand still to this sort of beat.

And now he's back with an album that made me cry when I first heard it (I'd read the instructions first, but still wasn't prepared). I think it's a great album and you should all go and buy it. But what do I know.

To my eternal sorrow, I can't get to any of the shows in the UK, but if anybody records them...
