Gillian Welch and David Rawlings
State Theater, Portland, Maine, November 27 2011

recorded on a Sony UX512 from the lower balcony nearly in the center
fade-ins and -outs and track splits done in GoldWave, otherwise not edited

This was a great show; David seemed to be having an ecstatic experience during Revelator and was terrific throughout. I was surprised at how well this cheap recorder performed; the sound is a little distant but quite clear. A couple of sections of between-song banter are obscured due to me and the people around me arguing with a jerk in front of me who kept chatting with her boyfriend during the first set; thankfully their jabber doesn't get picked up during the songs, and he left at the intermission. David and Gillian did leave the stage between the first and second encores, but I only paused the recorder and the applause sounds pretty continuous, so I didn't put a fade there.
