Ginger Baker's Jazz Confusion
Liverpool Philharmonic Hall
Liverpool
Merseyside
UK
24th February 2013

Following a fire, the Philharmonic Hall was rebuilt in the 1930s, and appearance-wise it screams of that era. Typically fluted, shell-shaped 30s auditorium, with art-deco murals on the side walls.

All seated, the main stalls area is surrounded by small, six-seater boxes, whilst upstairs there are several tiers of balcony.

Seating capacity around 1,790; around 650 in the stalls, the remainder in the balcony (balcony not used/required for this event). Attendance around 400 (at a guess).

No support act.

Whilst there are no Jazz Confusion releases there are any number of Ginger Baker/related CDs and DVDs available. They cover a lot of ground and offer a refreshing break from the mundane. Well worth exploring.
