Working our way through TapeTyrant's Master tapes for the crazy good "TapeTyrant Master Series" one thing has become clear. Not only does he have an outstanding master archives, he also has a very impressive archive of uncirculated 1st gens and soundboards.

Looking for the best way to present those since they can't be part of the master series but critical to get out none the less, we landed on a TapeTyrant second series to be known by the creative title the "TapeTyrant Archive Series". This series will feature uncirculated Soundboards, low gen (mostly 1st) uncirculated audience captures and upgrades.

Another excellent quality uncirculated SB from the Westbury Music Fair, this is the last night of the 1993 Glenn Frey & Joe Walsh tour. Some online setlist/gig guides list there being a show on the 19th but there is no supporting evidence for a show on the 19th, all newspaper ads list the 18th being the only show and Frey mentions during the show it's the last night of the tour.

Usually the last night of tours are special shows but seems to be opposite here, though the show appears to run the length of most shows from this tour timewise they appear to cut the number of songs short at this performance. This is likely due to them effing around between songs and I'm not talking stories that are interesting and fit in context of the show or their history, they are effing around claiming they have been sober for years but not sounding like it. In all they "chatted" between songs for a whopping 21 minutes, they could have easily played 3 more songs in that time with plenty of time still to eff around.

We owe TapeTyrant a big debt of gratitude for allowing me the honor of mastering and sharing his archives with all of us in what I hope are the definitive editions.

Get into those closets, basements and attics and let's get those uncirculated captures and upgrades out!
