Tech Notes:
* Due to extreme circumstances beyond my control, I was late to the show, wasn't able to get the ideal spot, and wasn't as close as I would have liked to be, but got almost the whole GY!BE set. I had to do the sound adjusts live, but most of the glitches in those opening minutes cleaned up pretty nicely.
* The first few minutes of Hope Drone were not recorded, but it sounds fairly complete.
* Level issues were corrected 0:00 to 2:245, and clipping issues were corrected at around 1:45-2:45 and are barely noticeable.
* Recording was made from right side of Godspeed's soundboard.
* Remarkably respectful and non-chattering audience The Chapel, maybe charging $50 for a ticket kept out most of the people who go to shows to hear themselves talk?

Notes:
* I'm less than positive about setlist, it was based on setlist.fm, but that was missing A Military Alphabet, so I compared to . loughney's setlist, which has the same block 3-7.
* It was a dark stage, and I could not really see how many members were there, I'm assuming the band members listed as founding and still active were playing, and that at least one, and possibly both, of the projectionists, were projecting. Please correct if you know.
* The focus of their performance was the music and video, so the stage was quite dark most of the time, so I did not get any photos that were worth keeping.

* Includes show flyers.

* About Godspeed You! Black Emperor:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godspeed_You!_Black_Emperor
"Godspeed You! Black Emperor was formed in 1994 in Montreal, Quebec, by Efrim Menuck (guitar), Mike Moya (guitar), and Mauro Pezzente (bass).[13][14] The band took its name from God Speed You! Black Emperor, a 1976 Japanese black-and-white documentary by director Mitsuo Yanagimachi, which follows the exploits of a Japanese biker gang, the Black Emperors."

"The Chapel, in the heart of the Mission District, is in a 1914 building that was originally built as a mortuary. It has been completely renovated and the beautiful chapel, with its 40-foot high arched ceiling, is one of the best music rooms in the city.
The rest of the building has been remodeled to hold a bar / restaurant with outdoor dining patio."
* As with Felton Music Hall, the arched room creates slightly strange acoustics, but the sound system is excellent, and you will often find Mad Alchemy of Light light show as well, which is a really good lightshow group. This is one of the better smaller sized clubs in the SF Bay Area, maybe the best. Very good vibes, good space, highly recommended. The major downside is that it's right in the heart of the tech sector of San Francisco, so the audiences tend to chatter. But that's not the club's fault.
* The capacity of the main room is about 500, making this a smaller and more intimate venue than GAMH.

Dan Healy (Grateful Dead sound engineer), on audience recordings:
"I learn a lot from hearing those tapes... The axiom that 'microphones don't lie' is a true one. If you put a microphone up in the audience and pull a tape and it doesn't sound good, you can't say, 'It was the microphone,' or 'It was the audience.' You've got to accept the fact that it didn't sound good. When you stick a mic up in the audience and the tape sounds cool, it's probably because the sound was cool. So it's significant to pay attention to the tapes."
[assuming decent quality powered mics, of course...]
