Chris Stamey: bass

Jack Bruce was also supposed to play in this show, but was not there.
either due to a passport issue or perhaps because he didn't think
a free lunchtime show was worth his time and effort.
Jack is a late night player, Boston knows that WELL.

comments:
A nice afternoon set, this is the full show (flipped between songs)
Jack Bruce was supposed to be in this show too (and was in some other
86 GP shows), but wasn't able to make this gig (maybe just too lazy
to show up for free gig in the afternoon). The 1st 2 songs with Michael
Stipe were my favorite songs in this show, lots more to like in it too.
their 1st gig of this tour. Lots of energy, and a fresh sounding performance,
recorded right in front of center stage about 25 feet back.
The sound in the Metro sucks, but the sound here is up close, you can
hear everything clearly and there are no noticable flaws in this
recording at all, just some level variation in the very beginning.
(not drastic). after that, consistent, smooth and clear sound quality.
