Gong
Mercury Cafe
Denver, CO
March 15, 1996

Here is, I believe, I Gong show that has never been widely distributed.

Those who want everything Gong will certainly want this one. If you are
looking for the best show from the 1996 US tour, Kansas City or San
Francisco are likely to be better bets. This one has its flaws: the sound
is a little thinner than one might like (but still pretty good), Flute
Salade aborts early due to a microphone problem, and there's a tape flip in
the middle of "You Never Blow Your Trip Forever". That said, I think it's
a nice show; the fact that I was in the audience and mind-blown for the
following week is only partly responsible for that.

The setlist is pretty well standard for this tour:

Intro (4:24)
You Can't Kill Me (7:26)
Radio Gnome (8:05)
I Am Your Pussy (5:01)
Pothead Pixies (2:50)
Never Glid Before (6:11)
Prostitute Poem (6:46)
Eat That Phonebook (6:10)

Flute Salade (3:50)
Bloomdido Rap (3:09)
Oily Way (3:02)
Outer Temple (3:17)
Inner Temple (3:16)
Master Builder (11:44)
Mercury (8:19)
Isle of Everywhere (13:27)
You Never Blow Your Trip Forever (7:28)
Mantram Chant of You (5:04)
Band intros (2:21)

Encore (11:29) [Don't know the title, sorry]

The 1996 band was:
Daevid Allen
Mike Howlett
Didier Malherbe
Pip Pyle
Steffi Sharpstrings
Gilli Smyth

Thanks to Alan for taping this!
