Gordon Lightfoot - Made In Chicago March 1973 PBS I have 2 versions of this. The first one is (evidently) properly ordered and says it's from 1972. This one I got several years ago and they guy told me that he had moved "The Patriot's Dream" from the first song to the last. I can't remember why he said he did this, and haven't changed his order. This is a decent sounding show from the PBS "Made In Chicago" show, precursor to "Soundstage". I assume the audio came from the video, but I'm not sure. PERSONAL PLEA: I've looked everywhere for a copy of the video to this, even went to a couple of Gordon Lightfoot fan sites and tried to see if anyone would trade with me for this video. One person offered to sell me boots (same one that traded me my original version of this several years ago, complete with gaps between tracks. She traded me 5 discs for one GL show she didn't have, and wouldn't trade for anything else, although she offered to sell me more for $15 each which I declined.). Anyhow I had no luck at the Lightfoot sites-except for the seller they seemed to have no interest in trading or obtaining rarities. If anyone has this video I'd love to trade for it, or even better, see it uploaded here. Someone has got to have a copy, don't they? Per the Lightfoot! website http://www.lightfoot.ca/tvappear.htm they have this to say: MADE IN CHICAGO - PBS - 1973 In March 1973, Lightfoot taped the PBS program, "Made in Chicago." This program eventually evolved in to the Soundstage series. Lightfoot at this time was backed by Terry Clements and Rick Haynes, so it is a great document of the three-piece band in their prime. Lightfoot was in tremendous voice on this occasion and the playing was very tight. Songs performed were: The Patriot's Dream; Don Quixote; Affair On 8th Avenue; If You Could Read My Mind; It's Worth Believing; You Are What I Am; Beautiful; Sit Down Young Stranger; Ten Degrees & Getting Colder; Softly; Boss Man; Early Morning Rain; Can't Depend On Love; Cotton Jenny; Old Dan's Records I emailed the guy a while back but he wouldn't respond. If he's got all this stuff it would be great to get him to open the vault.
