Show notes:
This marked the first ever Gov't Mule show in Finland, although the weather predictions promised nearly 30C temperatures and sunshine, the day was filled with small drizzling throughout the day. Luckily the rain stopped entirely almost to the second when Mule walked the stage and as such didn't affect the recording at all.
Recording notes:
Recorded on between the first and second row (forced to move two steps back during Thorazine Shuffle) with microphones clipped on shirt collar. Due to the amount of drunken blues fans on the festival combined with the stealth method used to record this, there's some shouting here and there on the recording and the audience clapping is much more noticeable than on the typical Mule recordings taped in the open. Overall though I'm quite happy with the outcome of the recording.
Mastering details:
Hard limiting used to dampen the audience clapping and rise the overall volume level, slight equalization applied to bring the vocals up and reduce slight muddiness.
Note that disc 1 clocks in at 76 minutes and requires an 80 minute CD. Reason for this is that Thorazine Shuffle continues directly from the ending note of Beautifully Broken. Having the disc split before that on the other hand would mean that the third disc would include only the second encore.
