Taped and transferred by MSTaper

I got the day off so MSTaper Jr. and I ventured to Nashvegas to take in some Mule. We were concerned about the weather because there was a winter storm moving toward Nashville, but the frozen precip never materialized.
I was warned that it's tough to get a good pull at the Ryman, but I think I did. You be the judge.
I liked the location in the balcony, but setting up the stand in front of our seat, er, pew, was a challenge. I was taping with a rookie taper from Manchester so we worked together and luckily nobody wanted to walk by. They couldn't anyway. After a liberal application of gaffer tape to the stand legs to keep it from falling forward, we were ready to go.
The Mule played several tracks from the new album and some very choice covers. Loved "Ventilator Blues" > "Dear Prudence" to end the first set, not to mention Audley Freed joining the band. "Maggot Brain" > "When the Music's Over" to open the second set was equally hot.
We were hoping for a couple of special guests since there was no opening act. Audley Freed rocked on the three tracks he joined the band on.
This was my first event of the new year after completely blowing the Boombox/Grown Folks Band New Year's Eve show at home. It was not a good way to end the year. This made up for it.

Enjoy (and go see Mule and buy their stuff!)
