boombox's notes october 2017:
Near capacity crowd for the Mule's first show in Wales. Probably the heaviest first set I've heard - band was on fire and they smoked. The second set was none too shabby either: Pink Floyd set opener, Hendrix in the middle of 'Blind Man' and numerous teases, before a Bernie Marsden sit-in for the encore. Recording is pretty good with little audience interference other than some occasional enthusiastic clapping at head/mic height, though I had to swap places with my mate before 'Traveling Tune' due to ignorant couple to my left who talked and barged into people incessantly during the second set. And yes, Bernie does screw up the intro to 'Blue Sky'!
If burning to disc for the enclosed artwork, CD1 needs a slight overburn.
