This was known as the Pacific Alliance Benefit.
The Abalone Alliance (1977-1985) was a non-violent civil disobedience group formed to shut down the
Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant near San Luis Obispo.
The plant was put into service in November of 1984. Jackson Browne and Graham Nash,
both longtime anti- nuclear activists, gave voice to this benefit event.
