Graham Parker and the Rumour
Bardavon Opera House
Poughkeepsie, NY
2012-11-25

Recording Notes:

Recorded by: BobT. aka Luvsufo.
Mastered by: scoper

No processing other than volume normalization was applied.

Equipment: CA-14 Mics- Battery Box-SONY PCM-M10
Track splits/FLAC: CD-Wave
Checksums/Torrent file: Traders Little Helper.

Recorded from balcony center, away from the crowd.

If you dislike loud talkers, loud clappers and request yelling
then this show is just for you.You can hardly hear the crowd at all.
I usually don't record from
the balcony, but the Bardavon has pretty nice acoustics
and two big suspended stacks of speakers.
Plus I was too late getting super close floor seats hearing about
the booking at the last minute.

I had a 2.5 hour trip both ways by myself and nobody to help out like usual
plus i was trying out a special project and there was a few staff
members hanging out upstairs so this was not easy to pull off.
I think this came out pretty nice: just a few mic adjustments, BUT, during
"Don't Ask Me Questions" the recorder momentarily falls to the floor ( YIKES!!) pulling
the mics out so you get to hear the difference between external mics vs
on board mics.It got fixed pretty quick but its a little startling when it happens.

The lower floor was small and pretty full but the balcony was huge
and nearly empty. I don't think this area would be a major GP market
but they were rehearsing here for a few days so it was a no brainer.
A BIG Thanks to all the other recorders who covered the tour nicely.
Glad I could fill in the missing part of the east coast leg.
I will have a few more GP surprises to share in the future.
I also have a 2nd recording from the Newton,NJ show posted here if there is any interest.
It was recorded 2nd row DEAD CENTER in front of GP.
Hope you all enjoy this,it was a dream come true seeing GP with The Rumour
for the first time.
