TheCommish notes:
Graham Parker is EASILY in my all-time Top 5, so I was so glad to be able to see him (again) live...but this time with his long-time band, The Rumour. It took me about 2 hours to get to the show up in northern NJ but it was well worth it. And I'd like to mention that the Newton Theatre is a beautiful theater with better-than-expected sound. WAY better than the Count Basie in Red Bank, in my humble opinion. I was up in the balcony yet there's really not a bad seat in the house in the Newton Theatre, it seems.

In any event, I'm so glad to live in the same part of the country as GP so that I'm able to see him when he tours; I realize a lot of people aren't as fortunate to live anywhere near where he plays.

Anyway, this show was special in that GP and the band busted out "Howlin' Wind" for the first time on this 15-date tour. Unfortunately they didn't play their cover of "I Want You Back" (I would have gladly traded "Old Soul" or "Live In Shadows" for it), but that's a small gripe. Most of the great GP songs we all know and love are in here. Enjoy!

Go buy the excellent new album "Three Chords Good"

Lineage:
Zoom H2 (120 degree mic pattern) > WAV (onto SD card) > Nero wave editor (trim & fade end tracks) > Cool Edit Pro (+4dB to right channel for all tracks; then volume boosted but hard limited to -0.1dB of peak volume) > FLAC Frontend (sb-aligned) > FLAC

If you like this torrent, won't you please take a moment to post a comment on the board? It only takes a moment, and believe me, it takes A LOT longer to prepare/upload a show for others to enjoy than it does to download and run.
