02-[00:00]. Cheap Wine ->
03-[00:00]. Black Night

06-[00:00]. The Pusher
Total Time ::: 22:25
::: Slightly distant (but in an uncrowded club) & very slightly distorted, but highly edible! Check samples for groans or grins.
::: Warts: Fixed some dropouts & dullspots, but surely missed a few. Slightly distortion thruout & increases a bit in #5 (seems they was playin' real LOUD).
::: Set opens & closes & it could be all their songs, but there's a splice or pause 'tween trax 3&4.
::: Our friend, Mr Cacavas, is in rippin' good form on keys here!
::: Maybe Red Rockers opened (and seems likely several bands were on the bill), tho' they weren't listed in ads (thanks gv0000!).
::: May seem bloody obvious, but this ain't same as the previously DIMED 1986 Green On Red Tipitina's show.
Recording Information ::: unknown stereo cassette recorder -> master stereo cassette tape -> 2 analog tape generations (probably cassettes) -> 3rd generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette, Dolby B on.
Playback 2011-08-13 ::: 3rd generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette on Nakamichi BX-300 cassette deck, Dolby B on, azimuth adjusted for individual tape, heads cleaned & demagnetized -> Tascam CD-RW900SL pro CD recorder -> CD-R -> wav file.
Remastering 2015-06-29 ::: wav file -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase alignment, fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments, -1.6% single pass averaged pitch (speed) fix after frequency analysis & with pitchpipe verification, NO equalisation] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. First uploaded week of 2015-07-11.
Line-up ::: Dan Stuart - electric guitar, vocals // Chris Cacavas - keyboards, vocals // Jack Waterson - electric bass, vocals (a different instrument on #5?) // Alex McNicol - drums // Darren Hill (from Red Rockers, who possibly/likely were also on the bill) guest on #5 - electric bass.
Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.
DimeTravel 144 ::: Thanks to the original taper & traders! And, as is so often true, thanks to DIMER gv0000 for weighing in the some guest artist conjecture - a wiser man than me in this regard. ::: Corrections welcome ::: Short, but a MONSTER of a Green On Red set. =I=N=T=E=N=S=E=! If you get these guys early work, this is guaranteed to give you chills up the spine on numerous occasions. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
