::: EXC up-close stereo AUD. Check samples for trials & tribulations.
::: Warts: Not many, tape was in EXC shape. Repaired dullspots & dropouts but surely missed a few. Some AUD yelling 'tween trax but no probs during music. Tapeflip cut in #9 (almost inaudible splice).
::: CONTRAST CLAUSE: This Mk3 44.1 kHz version is remixed to narrower but more balanced stereo. The Mk1 44.1 kHz original mix version can be found elswhere.
::: The concert was arranged by the Trondheim Blues Club.
::: Same year & line-up as their "Back Against The Wall" album but none of those songs appear here.
Recording Information ::: Sony Walkman Professional Model WM-D6C Stereo Cassette Player with JVC M-201 stereo microphone -> master TDK SA-90, Dolby off.
Playback 2016-02-xx ::: master TDK SA-90, Dolby off played back on Sony Walkman Professional Model WM-D6C Stereo Cassette Player -> Harman Kardon HJK 3380 -> Roland R-05 WAVE Recorder -> 24bit/96kHz wavs.
Remastering 2016-02-15 ::: 24bit/96kHz wavs -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase alignment, fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments, +0.45% averaged pitch (speed) fix with single pass after frequency analysis & with pitchpipe verification, NO equalisation] -> dithered down to 44.1kHz -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. Transfer levels too hot but seemed to have caused no audible issues. Tried to run clipfix anyway, but it wasn't happy - too much level disparity. This Mk3 version has some of the left (heavy vocal) channel mixed into the right but keeping it stereo, then had the channels flipped & IMO it sounds more natural, but please do make yr own decisions. First uploaded week of 2016-02-20.
Line-up ::: Tony T.S. McPhee electric guitar, vocals // Dave Anderson electric bass // Ian Michael "Mick" Jones - drums.
Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.
DimeTravel 273 ::: MANY thanks to the original taper & trader, DIMER hyarar, for tapin' & transferrin'! ::: Corrections welcome ::: Mr McPhee roaring along in his superb unique full-tilt style. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
