Note from Heartland Radio Station:

There's a long list of album credits in the "Who's Who in Americana" category that all sing
the same praises of Gurf Morlix. Since the late 1980s, Morlix has either produced,
arranged and/or played guitars on albums from the likes of Lucinda Williams, Ray Wylie Hubbard,
Slaid Cleaves, Mary Gauthier, Ray Bonneville, Robert Earl Keen and many, many more.
But Morlix also has his own recordings and his own catalogue of original songs, too.

His most recent album is Eatin' At Me from 2015, but there's new one being manufactured as I write,
called The Soul and The Heal, scheduled to come out in February 2017.

Besides meeting the "man behind the legends," so to speak,
it was fascinating to chat with Morlix about how he pulls from his experiences producing
all of these iconic albums and applies that knowledge, or not, to his own recordings.

Gurf Morlix is on a mini-tour of the central United States,
and he stopped by to chat and to play a few songs in the Radio Heartland studio.

Enjoy!
