CONTRAST CLAUSE: Different than http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=597158
This version has been edited and, to my ear, has a much better overall sound.
------ original info ------
While the original taper deserves major kudos for getting this recorded, the "Faults: None; excellent listening experience," is a bit of a stretch.
As stated in the original info file, the first part of the first track "Cold Dog Soup" was missing so I spliced in audio from another 2011 show to fill that gap. The first track was also marred by some massive volume fluctuations so I did my best to even those out by hand.
The rest of the show was recorded at such a low level that the waveforms of the talking segments looked like straight lines. Luckily, being a digital recording, running through some compression and mastering in Adobe Audition leveled things out pretty nicely and provided for a much better listening experience. The talking parts were still quite quiet even after all of this so I boosted those tracks by an additional 3db to make it easier for you to hear what is being said.
Overall, an excellent show by Guy Clark and Verlon Thompson. I hope you enjoy it!
Cheers,
SilentBob
###### ORIGINAL INFO BELOW ######
Incomplete Dat soundboard master misses about the first minute of the first song. I asked the sound engineer about 15 minutes before what turned out to be show time to be plugged in and he told me to come back later. About ten minutes pass and I asked again and am told 'too busy'. There I stood, cables in hand, and waited.
Believe this is the world debut of this recording. No mastering was needed so you will hear the sound exactly as recorded. Faults: None; excellent listening experience.
