Notes: Hamilton and the band have played this festival a few times in recent years and always is a crowd pleaser. The band is energetic and interacts with the crowd and each other. He jumps into the crowd and, while continuing to play guitar, wanders his way through the audiance on his lazy path back to the stage. I always know that when Hamilton plays it will be a good set. I hope you agree.

This year I caught most of the mainstage acts, as listed, with one of two set ups. Both yielded very good results but I defer to you to let me know how well this came out. Your comments are appreciated.

What I would like is for you to help me prioritize how I release these shows to the DIME. What is your interest? I have limited time so if there is soemthing you want let me know. I can do these in any order. I did get Paul Thorn out first as this show was one of many highlights of the festival. I highly encourage anyone who love music, especially blues, to plan to be in Helena next year October 4, 5,& 6, 2012. It is a great three days!

*Hubert Sumlin, Willie 'Big Eyes' Smith Band, Bob Margolin (this group with various players is there each year. This year BIg Eyes son played, Bob stroger of Muddy Waters Fame, Bob Corritore(harp)and the whole thing came off very well. Hubert is one of the last of the old ones and he was unable to stand during this performance. (A)
