The Handsome Family are in fact the couple Brett and Rennie Sparks from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Active since the mid nineties, they had already some admirers in the "big league" (Ringo Starr, Bruce Springsteen). They got some more fame when their song "Far from any road" was chosen as the main theme for the first season of the brilliant "True Detective" tv series.

On this evening both had a terrible cold which you can hear sometimes through the vocals. They were supported by Jason Toth (drums) and the incredible Alex MacMahon (keyboards, steel guitar and more). As usual, Rennie told some weird, funny and entertaining stories between the songs.
