TheCommish notes:
Any discussion of Philadelphia R&B/Soul music has to include the music of the legendary Harold Melvin and the Blues Notes, who had a handful of hits back in the 1970s--perhaps most notably, "If You Don't Know Me By Now".
Well, Harold passed away back in 1997, and the group's famous singer, Teddy Pendergrass, passed away in 2010. But fortunately, the group's excellent songs will always live on. Specifically, this legacy group--Harold Melvin's Blue Notes--is managed by Harold Melvin's daughter, Trudy. Special thanks to her for allowing me to record this fine show. These guys were really entertaining.

If you like this torrent, won't you please take a moment to post a comment on the board? It only takes a moment, and believe me, it takes A LOT longer to prepare/upload a show for others to enjoy than it does to download and run.
