Ok this another show I received in a postal trade, and what great recording for 1979
it is to.
The taper has done a great job here and the quality is not quite as good as the Preston 1979 show
already shared on here but it is in a similar league. So I'll score this as a solid
7/10 or EX- but if you take into account what a Hawkwind concert was like back then the taper has done
a great job. I can still see the Captain in his doctors coat and striped pants.
As always I would like to thank the taper, and also the person that traded with me
years ago.
As always share freely but NEVER sell. Don't covert to lossy unless for personal use.
Lets remember Hawkwind are a current active working band:
So support them by going to gigs, buying their cd's and merchandise etc.
Unfortunately due to covid restrictions the short UK tour
apart from the London palladium gig has been cancelled and rescheduled maybe
for next year when we are further along with this damn virus.
I'll be buying their new LP Somnia and now the gig is cancelled at least I'll have more time to get into it
I'm really looking forward to receiving it.
Check out their official website here: http://www.hawkwindmuseum.co.uk
Also check here for the bands current trading/recording policy: http://www.hawkwindmuseum.co.uk/trading%20rules.htm and this recording is allowed by the band under those rules.
You can also find detailed info on their re-issue back catalogue here: http://cherryred.co.uk/atomhenge/main.htm
Anyway I glad I could help a fellow Hawkwind fan fill a gap in their collection
Lets keep those motors running.
Cheers
