For my own personal listening pleasure I merged Disc1 and Disc 2. If you wish to return them into two separate folders
then the numbering of the tracks is as above with the split clearly shown.

This is effectively the infamous Stonehenge Festival of 1985. If you'd like to know more about this then Google "Battle Of The Beanfield" or
better still if your interested in specifically the Hawkwind angle then either Ian Abrahams or Carol Clerk's excellent books give plenty of information.
If you're any sort of Hawkwind fan I'd recomend both of these books very highly. Different approaches to writing about my favourite band's history.

This is also the gig where Nik joins/gatecrashes the band and states on stage that he and Dave have "buried the hatchet" (which you can hear clearly on this recording)
and Dave is reputed to have responded "yeah in your head you C**t"; I can't remember if you can hear Dave say this or not!!

Anyway, this has to be one of my all time favourite recordings, hope you enjoy it. In terms of quality well, possibly pushing an 7.5/10.
A word of warning about this recording though, all vocals are virtually lost as a result of equipment problems.

They played on a flat bed truck if memory serves me correctly. Also the generators break down regularly too.

Thanks as always to whoever taped this back then, and those that shared it with me.

As always share freely but NEVER sell. Don't covert to lossy unless for personal use.

Lets remember Hawkwind are a current active touring band:

So support them by going to gigs, buying their cd's and merchandise etc. I will be there in Manchester to watch them in September 2021 and I'll be buying their new LP Somnia.

Check out their official website here: http://www.hawkwindmuseum.co.uk

Also check here for the bands current trading/recording policy: http://www.hawkwindmuseum.co.uk/trading%20rules.htm and this recording is allowed by the band under those rules.

You can also find detailed info on their re-issue back catalogue here: http://cherryred.co.uk/atomhenge/main.htm

Lets keep those motors running.

Cheers
