After Show with the Band:

Back Story:

Having a case of the Flu all day before the show, I called some friends to see if they would take
my ticket and recorder to record the show on my behalf. Finally, my friend Bob White showed up and
wanted me to go as well. He said he had a cure for the Flu. He layed out two lines of white powder
(made famous in that Eric Clapton song) and wouldn't you know, I felt good enough to attend! The
show was incredable and we got to hang out with the band for a smoke after the show (hope they did
not catch what I had). Dave Brock signed a Hawkind bootleg "Live at Watchfield and Stonehenge
Festivals, 1976". I was wondering if he would have a problem signing it as Dave had released a series
of "Weird Tapes" on cassette years earlier in which one was made into this English bootleg. When this
bootleg was presented (at the time) to Dave, he became upset. Quite a bit of time had lapsed before I
presented the same LP to Dave and he had no problem. FYI: The offical release of "The Weird Tapes"
differs from the ones Dave released to fans years earlier.
