Ok so this is another one I received in a postal trade from way back and again it's the
first time I've shared this online so there's a chance you may not have it.

The sound is just sublime. This must be a DAT recording or recorded with fantastic gear but unfortunately
I don't have any notes about that, trust me though its fantastic.

The The Waterfront venue was tiny with probaly about 600 folk crammed in.

Me and my brother were right at the front and I was directly under Ron Tree's mic and yes I did cop for some spitle from him.

I've seen Hawkwind 50 plus times down through the years with my first gig being in 1974, but this gig is the closest I've ever been to the band.

At the end of the gig Ron Tree, the Captain and Harvey shook both mine and my brothers hand. The Captain even asked me if I'd enjoyed the show.

Great memories from a great line up of Hawkwind and the next time me and brother would see them would be in 2000 at Brixton Academy London for that 4 hour marathon of a gig.

So back to the sound quality and it is superb and really bearing in mind this show is 21 years ago its a 9/10 or EX+ to Sup-for me. It literally could only be bettered by a soundboard recording
in my opinion, which under the current trading rules we are not allowed to share. Maybe one day down the line.

So this is as good as it gets. This is really gem of a recording so grab it while you can.
The gig was just so intense with energy and power crackling from the stage. Very hot and sweaty with sweat dripping from the ceiling as the gig went on. A great night and the beer afterwards was good as well
I seem to remember.

As always share freely but NEVER sell. Don't covert to lossy unless for personal use.

Lets remember Hawkwind are a current active touring band:

So support them by going to gigs, buying their cd's and merchandise etc. I will be there in Manchester to watch them in September 2021 and I'll be buying their new LP Somnia.

Check out their official website here: http://www.hawkwindmuseum.co.uk

Also check here for the bands current trading/recording policy: http://www.hawkwindmuseum.co.uk/trading%20rules.htm and this recording is allowed by the band under those rules.

You can also find detailed info on their re-issue back catologue here: http://cherryred.co.uk/atomhenge/main.htm

Anyway I glad I could help a fellow Hawkwind fan fill a gap in their collection

Lets keep those motors running.

Cheers
