Ok so this is another one I received in a postal trade from way back and again it's the
first time I've ever shared this outside of snailmail trading so it might be a new show for some. This was their 2nd gig
at this venue having played there early in the tour on 5th February 2000 and which I have already shared with you.

The sound on this is good but maybe a little thin and distant. As I've previously said about other gigs sound quality that I've shared it sounds like most shows recorded at the Arena in Manchester, it has
that cavenous feel to it. But the music is all there captured in good quality with the vocals up in the mix which is good and with a decent equaliser on a sound system you could get this sounding very good indeed.
As I've said before about taping shows, the tape captures the sound that is in the venue so a show in the Royal Albert Hall will always sound better than what used
to be Stafford Bingley Hall even if the same equipment is used.

So to the quality well it's a good listen and your ears do adjust to the sound which doesn't
fluctuate at all. So I'd pitch this at 6 pushing 6.5 or VG+ pushing EX- the same as my last rating for this venue. Its a good listen thats for sure.

My thanks as always to the taper for recording this I really do appreciate your efforts. Also to the trading community
back in the day.

As always share freely but NEVER sell. Don't covert to lossy unless for personal use.

Lets remember Hawkwind are a current active touring band:

So support them by going to gigs, buying their cd's and merchandise etc. I will be there in Manchester to watch them in September 2021 and I'll be buying their new LP Somnia.

Check out their official website here: http://www.hawkwindmuseum.co.uk

Also check here for the bands current trading/recording policy: http://www.hawkwindmuseum.co.uk/trading%20rules.htm and this recording is allowed by the band under those rules.

You can also find detailed info on their re-issue back catologue here: http://cherryred.co.uk/atomhenge/main.htm

Lets keep those motors running.

Cheers
