The Highwoods String Band "Live Feed Your Babies Onions" FM reel to reel circa 1974

One of the finest bluegrass bands to come out of the 1970's, the Highwoods String Band features tight, tight playing of their Appalacian sound revival music. This is one of the best bands from that time period, who specialised in covering mountain tunes from the 1920's to 1930's. The sound is unique to this part of the country, and should be heard. The Feed Your Babies Onions album is a seminal bluegrass LP.

It may make you want to think of moonshine!

Walt Koken, Bob Potts, Jenny Cleland, Dough Dorshug
