Lineage: MD (Sony MZ-R700 with Sony ECM-DS 70P Stereo Mics) > CD-R (Philips CDR 785 CD recorder) > Flac 8 (MAX)

Equalisation added to eliminate major frequency dropouts and peaks and to adjust the overall sound balance. The original sound was a bit more brash and lacked warmth. Level maximums kept to avoid more clipping. Split points weren't changed.

Comparison to the "other" source by BigJim/songhunter:
This source is stereo Ð very narrow, but still stereo! The music is more up front and there's much less audience noise. The vocals are less obstructed, and the guitar is much louder and clearer. It could have been a very good, well-balanced, dynamic recording É if it only wasn't so distorted. Especially the harder rocking songs are very distorted in the upper midrange and treble parts Ð voices, guitar, violin, flute, keyboards É it's a pity. On the other hand, the slow ballads and instrumentals sound great. I added a sample for you to decide if it's worth downloading Ð in my opinion it is, and if it's just because of the clearer guitar and voices.

Many thanks to Dave for his effort and for sending me the master without any obligations.
