Notes:
Up from Louisville the great Houseplant visits Chicago once more to open for Eggy. Their last (and first?)
Chicago show in August opening for BALTHVS at the Empty Bottle. I was tired but happy to see these guys again.
It was already fairly packed by the time Houseplant started their set, and just about everyone in the crowd
seemed to be feeling their style. Houseplant plays indie-rock, often with some psych and spacey elements with
a lot of groovy type 1 jams, with Mike Nix heading a lot of it on guitar. I can't wait to see them as a
headliner in Chicago some day.
These guys have a lot of their shows' audio up on Bandcamp and so many videos on YouTube, so there's plenty
more to check out that way if you like what you hear in this set. If they're headed your way, especially if
your way *isn't* in or near Louisville, then I highly recommend you see them in person.
