Notes:
Wanted to see for myself if the heart of rock 'n' roll was in fact still beating; turns out the old boy is barely breathing. :( This show was free, so the price was right and thus I went to it. Levels were adjusted during the first song as well as the last two tracks. The soundman fooled around with the sound during the first track, but he left things alone after that. It rained throughout this outdoor show (opening band got rained out, in fact), which is why I didn't stick around to tape the whole thing (I was worried my fancy digital recorder would be damaged by the rain, you see). This is also why the recording is a touch inconsistent. You can hear me walking away during "If This Is It," part of which was recorded behind the stage, as was the next song in the set. I was supposed to meet a girl at this show, but she didn't show up because of the rain; cock-blocked by Mother Nature! Again! Ironically, I couldn't find a place to park for this show IN A FUCKING PARKING LOT. That is the definition of irony, my friends. I had to walk about two miles in the rain to get back to my car, which is another reason why I left early. Sorry, guys, but I guess this is better than nothing, right? Right...? At the very least, you can use this as filler for another (better) Huey show you may be burning to disc...

Suggested bootleg names:
"No News Is Good News" (if Huey had been performing solo)
"Have You Heard the News?"
"The Heart of Rock 'n' Roll Is Still Beatin'...in New Orleans"

PLAY LOUD.

Don’t sell, don’t down-convert, don’t call me daughter.
