Ai confini tra Sardegna e Jazz 2009: Hypnotic Brass Ensemble

Piazza del Nuraghe, Sant'Anna Arresi (Sardegna/Sardinia), Italy,
wednesday 26 August 2009

Gabriel Hubert, trumpet, vocals; Amal Baji Hubert, trumpet, vocals; Tarik Graves, trumpet, vocals; Jafar Baji Graves, trumpet, vocals; Seba Graves, trombone, vocals; Saiph Graves, trombone, vocals; Tyco Cohran, sousaphone; Uttama Hubert, euphonium; Christopher Anderson, drums; Maia Hubert, vocals on 'Justice'

let me get this straight: this is not jazz... they are playing jazz festivals, and their shows are broadcast by jazz programmes, but this is a brass band doing "afrobeat" with hiphop (and you can also hear some argentinean cuarteto too!) - somewhere in between Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Antibalas with a proper drumkit. They have a record out for Damon Albarn's label Honest John, Albarn the singer from britpop band Blur, who now has a crush on african music.
Also included in the folder, marked as track 00, an interesting radio introduction in ITALIAN, with commentaries and with Phil Cohran's bio, beacause all of these musicians are Cohran's sons! (this statement does not apply for Maita, one of the mothers for some of these children, and Christopher Anderson) - it runs for 7'15", you can skip downloading it if you don't understand italian.

note that due to disk space limitations, I will not be able to keep seeding this torrent for a long time - I will abandon the seed in a few days, maybe remove from HD these wav/flac files, and keep only my own CDR. Too many things to upload. In case of seeders going missing, enlist yourself as a leecher and some seeder will come back, and you are anyhow welcome to try and ask for additional torrenting...
FFP included - if uploaded on other trackers or reseed (and you are welcome to do both), please include original infofile. Also, if not satisfied with my offering, you are welcome to remaster/retrack/whatever and repost, but please always clearly state where/who did you have this material from and keep original infofile.
