2-track Recordings: taped by Robin & Mike themselves (or Likky) i presume, as they
rehearse for an upcoming gig, as well as working on songs that would make up their
'5,000 spirits or the layers of the onion' lp.

these are pretty rough, hissy & undecipherable in places, but for the string band fan
they're a must have. i took the liberty of cleaning them up a bit, so if you already
have these, you may be interested in getting this version. to my ear they do sound a
little bit better than before (then again, i would say that).

As with most of my bootlegs, i acquired them from loads of different places such as
blogs, bootleg sites & from purchasing them in shady markets (before i had use of the internet & knew anything about torrents & file sharing) & i really can't tell where
every individual recording came from.

so in advance: a thousand apologies to any of the tapers or individuals who originally placed these recordings up for all of us to lavish our love upon.

thank you very much for sharing, i only mean to do the same & take no credit
for these bootlegs being born into our collective lap.

* this track has been officially released on the Hux label CD `Tricks Of The Senses´ (HUX100).so in keeping with Dime policy i've removed it (sorry folks!)

** this on the other hand (after listening to & checking both the version here & the
HUX100 release) i can therefore confirm, ISN'T the same version that appears on `Tricks
Of The Senses'. so i've re-instated this.

the Hux version is more blythe & a little faster than RYM #2, which is a little more dirge-like. i don't believe this is down to any speed correction issues etc.. as the
voices are quite clearly (to me anyway) the proper timbre/tone of both Robin & Mike's voices at that point in time.

also, Mike harmonises with Robin on the second line of RYM #2 which he doesn't on the Hux.

SORRY TO ALL THOSE WHO DOWNLOADED MY PREVIOUS TORRENT(S) OF THIS BOOTLEG. IT SEEMS THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH MOST OF THE TRACKS, WHICH WAS HELPFULLY POINTED OUT TO ME. SO I HOPE I'VE GOT IT RIGHT THIS TIME (FINGERS CROSSED).

THANKS TO THE MODERATORS FOR THEIR PATIENCE.

HAPPY LISTENING!!!
