This is it. The Fillmore East show of the "forgotten supergroup": Jack Bruce with Mitch Mitchell on drums, Larry Corryell on guitar and Mike Mandell on organ.
Compared to the rather rough playing on the infamous Nice Festival 1971 tape (without Mandell), the band is absolutely burning on this one.Mitch Mitchell is in top form. If only there was a soundboard tape of this line-up.... Mostly CREAM / Jack Bruce material with a couple of Corryell tunes thrown in.
Quality is very nice and clean, every instrument clearly audible, with a nice mix to it. Of course a little tape hiss here and there, some tunes have small cuts, but this is a truly historic document. Simply a classic Fillmore East audience tape.
I believe this is second gen, but I can«t guarantee. If anyone has an upgrade of this great show, PLEASE post it!
