"The Real Second Night In Osaka"

Jackson Browne played ten shows in Japan as part of the 1980 "Hold Out" tour.

1980/11/10 (Mon) Osaka
1980/11/11 (Tue) Osaka
1980/11/13 (Thur) Osaka
1980/11/14 (Fri) Hiroshima
1980/11/16 (Sun) Ishikawa
1980/11/17 (Mon) Nagoya
1980/11/19 (Wed) Nigata
1980/11/21 (Fri) Sapporo
1980/11/23 (Sun) Tokyo
1980/11/25 (Tue) Tokyo

It appears recordings circulate for the 13th, 17th, 23rd and 25th.

For years there has been miss identification around the Osaka dates with at least 3 different versions circulating identified as two Osaka dates, the 11th and the 13th. Titles circulate as "Hold Out Japan Tour Osaka 1980", "Fountain Of Pleasure" and "Hold Out Tour In Japan 1980 (Osaka)".

"Fountain Of Pleasure" circulates as both the 11th and the 13th. The version that circulates as the 11th appears to be the exact same source as the 13th.

Though labeled in many cases as a SB there appears to only be very good audience recordings that circulate.

Until now it appears the November 11th show does not circulate in the major collector's circles.

That changes with this release from a verified low gen source traded for in the era and coming from a Japanese collector.

There are a couple of differences between the 11th and 13th that confirm these are different dates. The 11th closes with "Take It Easy" where the 13th closes with "The Road And The Sky". In addition, after "Here Comes Those Tears Again" Jackson addresses the audience which he does not do on the 13th.

Quality is very good from start to finish, so we hope you enjoy this verified version of the November 11th Osaka show.

Big thanks to the collector who chooses to remain anonymous for supplying this excellent low gen source. Additionally, thanks go out to prof goody and his assistance ensuring pitch is locked in for the duration.
