Jackson Browne gave this very special solo acoustic performance at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga, CA. The concept of the performance was to chat about and perform the songs from his second album--For Everyman (1973). Jackson discusses the album and its songs with Jake Kasden, who provided background to the album and tried to ask Jackson the questions a typical fan might ask. This format meant that besides providing many interesting and unique insights into these songs, Jackson also performed "Sing My Songs to Me" for only the second time ever in a recorded public performance. In addition, to conclude the show Jackson performed "Lives in the Balance" and treated the audience to his first-ever acoustic performance of "The Late Show," a song he had not even performed with his band for more than 20 years.

This performance may or may not have been uploaded here at DIME before, but if it has been it is no longer available. I received one version of this show from my friend Leroy in 2004, but it had some issues. A month or two later, Leroy sent me a second recording of the show from another source which had much better sound quality. This is the show I am uploading here. It is a digital audience recording with very good/excellent sound. Enjoy!
