..................................................................................

Today we have a new recording from James Cotton Blues Band.

That legendary harmonica player delivering his blues in the Wolf Den. It's the best place to see a free show in Connecticut.

For this show the taper held the recorder under the table to avoid crowd noise, he was with a rowdy bunch.

This does sound a little distant and slightly muffled, but as I was tracking it and listening to it,

I found it very easy to listen to and I fully enjoyed getting to hear this recording.

This gets a thumbs up from me and well worth adding into your collection.

I tried listening to the band introductions, but Cotton's voice is so rough, along with the recording distance,

I really couldn't understand who's names are being introduced. here's my best guess.

James Cotton - Harp (passed away on March 16, 2017 at the age 81.)
Darrell Nulisch - Vocals
Rico McFarland - Guitar, Vocals
Tom Holland - Guitar, Vocals
Noel Neal - Bass
Kenny Neal, Jr. - Drums

Thanks goes out to Alan for taping and sending it to me to be shared.

Check samples for quality.
