Total Time ::: 44:15

::: Pretty f'in' nice stereo AUD for its vintage. Check samples for rejection or injection.
::: Warts: Taper cut off deck 'tween some trax. Bad splice near start of "Stop" ~13secs missing. Occasional high end fluctuation from tape aging issues but repaired a lot. Fixed/lessened most dullspots & dropouts but surely some remain. Probable reel bump removed 25 seconds before end of tape. "Bluebird" cuts near end. "Lost Woman" cuts at ~3mins.
::: COMPARISON CLAUSE: Previously DIMED in 2? forms but this upgrades them & has MORE material from actual show/same source.
::: Apologies to purists for EQ but it needed help, the tape was suffering. See below for more commentary on same.
::: November 19-22, 2970 (Thurs-Sun) Love with Arthur Lee/James Gang/Black Sabbath. Light show by Spontaneity.
::: Poster can be found at www.wolfgangs.com/posters/love/poster/BG257-258.html
::: Seems very possible the taper used 2 different types of microphones.
::: NOT sourced from any bootleg version but from an analog tape version.
::: For some unknown reason this is sometimes touted as a SBD, but it ain't.
::: This tape labeled only "1970-11-xx". Sometimes around dated 1970-11-20 but believe that's someone's guess.
::: (*)Sometimes around as 1970-11-21 but NOT the same set as the longer tape with that date (tho' setlist is similar).
::: It's possible this is ANOTHER set (early/late) from the same night as the circulating 1970-11-21 show.
::: NOT the same set as 1970-11-21 www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=606138 AUD mislabled as SBD.
::: NOT the same set as 1970-11-21 www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=609549 AUD boot.
::: An upgraded DimeTravel remaster of 1970-11-21, the OTHER circulating set from this run, can be found elsewhere.
::: The Roryglzep version has DIFFERENT sourced song spliced in at the end & is MISSING the 14 minute conclusion above.
::: Recollections are this is from a different taper than the Love set I uploaded previously.
::: "James Gang Rides Again" (2nd LP) issued July '70 but was recorded a YEAR previous to these shows (November '69).

Recording Information ::: unknown stereo reel-to-reel recorder -> master stereo reel -> 1st generation stereo TDK-SA C90 cassette, Dolby B on.

Playback 2014-xx-xx ::: 1st generation stereo TDK SA-C90 cassette on Nakamichi 680ZX cassette deck, Dolby B on, azimuth & speed adjusted (pitched!) for individual recording, heads cleaned & demagnetized -> Sony Linear PCM Recorder PCM-M10 (LPCM 44.10kHz/16bit WAV files) -> computer -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase alignment, fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments, left channel was EQ'd, if anything was done to the right, it was quite minimal, no speed correction needed, got it right at transfer] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. First uploaded week of 2018-03-30.

TAPE CONDITION NOTES & EQ COMMENTARY: At one time, this was one of my most listened to & most traded recordings. There must be many 2nd gen. cassettes out there that came from mine. It traveled & was played a LOT & was NOT one of my favorite brands. My Nakamichis generally HATED TDK & many TDK tapes had problems, especially with tracking correctly at starts of sides. Anyway, there were some tape aging issues. I did a non-EQ version but ended up so many steps away from it, that I went with only this version for upload. The EQ work minimised many of the issues & brought the thing back to life. I spent a great number of hours working it to restore most all its former glory. I just listened to it with some real volume on the stereo & it sounds pretty damn good. If it's a bit bright, turn down your treble a bit or re-EQ to your satisfaction. I think the guy I got it from is a DIMER, so maybe we'll get it direct from the reel someday. Started work on this in 2014 & finally got it together to finish it up. Hope its been worth the wait.

Line-up ::: Joseph Fidler "Joe" Walsh - electric guitars, vocals // Dale "Bugsley" Peters - electric bass, background vocals // James Kent "Jim" Fox - drums, percussion, background vocals.

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

DimeTravel 405 ::: Thanks to the original taper & trader! Thanks to DIMER mjcrossuk for some assistance long ago regarding this one. ::: Corrections welcome ::: This is a seriously INTENSE James Gang set, I prefer it to almost anything else around, not that we have many choices! Turn it up & free your mind, your ass will follow. Have some fun playing air guitar, it's almost a given. Guess the record companies are never going to give us the expanded, un-dubbed Carnegie Hall show, or just want to be sure most people who would have liked to hear it are deaf or dead - a real pity. Maybe it's me that hasn't matured, but this still blows my mind as much as it did when I was a teen - It rocks! Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
