James Taylor & Band
1986-03-24
Carre Theater, Amsterdam, Holland
FM analoge cassette master and more.

Couldn't find any information if this was torrented here before. If so sorry, if not this is a must have in different ways

The first concert I saw of JT and it was (largely) broadcasted on national radio.
I was floored by his performance, sublime. Great crowd, great memories.
It was a long show with 27 songs. Great renditions of the all time favourites and a few unusual ones like Wandering, Millworker, Long Ago And Far Away and the just released Dream In Rio.
There's no spoken band introductions, JT chants all the names of the band members at the end of How Sweet It Is.

Directed the cassette deck signal to my Edirol > SD card > PC
Had to edit out a lot of clapping in the last few songs, the crowd went completly nuts. The low generation needed some adjustment like hiss reduction.

In my possesion were four versions of this show.
A master FM, and a low generation of the same songs.
A low generation FM with more songs than my master, being Mexico, Brother Trucker, and How Sweet It Is. I've no clue what so ever where this one came from, which generation etc.
And there was a poor sounding 1st generation audience tape, made by my good friend Peter van der Lans ( Are there somewhere Peter? )

The concert tracks were broadcasted in a 2 hour long special with interview and released tracks. These are edited out of course.
The first part of this torrent is the FM part.
Three things to mention.
Halfway "Carolina In My Mind" the news comes in, so that's half a song.
There was a little gap in "Wonderin" wich I filled with a low generation version of the song.
Due to a tape switch the first line of "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight" was missing. I patched the beginning with another version of a low gen tape. I tried to fix the connection with the previous song as smooth as possible.

My master tape ended halfway Fire and Rain, again due to the news.
I used the low generation tape to continue the concert and followed the flow of songs on this tape, which was not according to the original setlist.

The last part is filled with the rest of the concert from audience tape.
So it's a complete show after all.
As an after party I included the interview parts in a row.

So resume
FM master tracks 1 > 22
FM master and FM low gen 1 > 26, then skip track 21
Only music 1 > 29 then skip track 21
For cd burning I'd suggest a split at track 22
